The Launch SLD-501 (Turbo) is a smoke diagnostic leak detector designed to help technicians quickly locate leaks in vehicle systems. By generating smoke and using a built-in air compressor, the device allows mechanics to pinpoint potential problems in intake and turbo systems without extensive disassembly.
The unit is equipped with a pressure gauge and adjustable flow meter to provide accurate leak detection and quick diagnosis of system leaks. It features a universal adapter cone that fits most intake and exhaust systems, along with a detachable smoke hose and power cords for easier operation.
The SLD-501 includes a smart 5-minute working cycle controller operated with a single button and supports UV leak detection for identifying very small leaks (less than 0.2 mm). The Turbo model is designed to work with most vehicle systems except EVAP systems.
